Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. I honestly had one of the worst dining out experiences in my life here. I really wanted to like this restaurant since a friend recommended it, but I was extremely disappointed. I arrived around 11 pm and had a short wait. Once seated, me and a friend ordered using the Chowbus QR code. We ordered 2 tonkatsu ramens. Only one arrived at the table. I waited about 15-20 minutes after everybodyβs food had all arrived before asking an employee about my ramen. He went to go ask the kitchen without so much of a sorry. I then waited about 5-10 more minutes before a bowl was brought out. At this point, everyone else had basically finished eating. I tried to take a bite of the chashu, but the pork fat was cold and the lean meat part was extremely tough. My soup was also bland and lukewarm. My friendβs ramen that had been brought out about 20 minutes prior to mine was still hotter than my soup. I mentioned again to the employee, who asked if I wanted it to be remade. My friends were all done eating, and at that point, it was almost midnight. I asked instead for the order to be canceled, and we paid the check. Throughout messing up my order twice, I did not receive a single apology or hear the w

Solid spot, decent food for sure. Small place but cool vibes. I might be biased comparing this izakaya to ones in Japan but it was still pretty good. Definitely a fun date night out or even get together with a friend, wouldnβt recommend for a big group but if youβre in the area itβs worth checking out! Service was timid, but kind and one girl seemed like a sweetheart which I adore

I am pleased with the savory foods. I got the wagyu and shrimp for the yakitori. I was a solo dinner, so I didnβt get the βyakitoriβ experience and instead, the already cooked items were provided to me (FYI). I love eel, so I was satisfied the the unagi don. Well done & tasty. Dessert was okay. I got the Taiyaki ice cream. The Taiyaki (fish shaped dough with red bean paste filling) was good. I think it was home made, so I liked it. The βmatchaβ ice cream was meh. Expect vanilla ice cream flavor with match and food color green. I would come back for the savory food!

Good late night dinner and karaoke place! The place usually filled up around 10pm. So, try to get there a little bit earlier to grab a table. All the food is very tasty. Most of our orders are from the grill. They are served hot and not too saucy. We really enjoyed. The only reason that I gave 4 stars because of the cleanness. Right away when sat down, I sat on some food. π΅βπ«

The atmosphere is quite amazing. The chicken yakitori was warm, fresh and tender just delicious. Got the omurice plus the unagi. Theyβve got something for everyone. The music created a cool vibe. Thereβs a beautiful display of Japanese umbrellas on the ceiling. Youβll love it here.
